X box 360 problems are way too common. Anyone who owns one has probably had a problem of some kind with his or her system. It is near probably when the failure rating is more then 50%.

The problems range from disks being scratched, to "bricking", or possibly even the "Red Ring of Death". Some problems like games halt can be annoying, but most people often take over them.

Though most come to take over it, having your pet game freeze up on you in the mettle of an important quest or right when you in the end make it to that nark that you been workings so hard to get to, it can be very frustrating. It's even worse when you take out the disk to realize that it has been scratched to the point of no longer being playable. This is actually a fairly common issue. It is caused from either the disk not being insure in the drive or the pads at the reader missing. This happens more often when the solace is positioned on its side, rather then laid flat.

Nothing could be more thwarting then having paid anyplace from $300 to $700 for a game solace and having it become no more useful then a brick. That is what happens when a dashboard update is applied and causes the computer hardware to fail. It becomes "bricked", altogether useless. This problem costs $99 or more if the console is not under warrantee because you have to send it in to Microsoft.

The most common problem with Xbox 360's is the "Red Ring of Death". The name for this issue comes from the three red lights that are on around the power light on the face of the console, forming a red ring. This is caused from either a universal hardware unsuccessful person or a meat digital failure. Either of these problems is not good. Both require your solace to be sent in to Microsoft for repair or replacement. The average turn around to fetch one back is 8 weeks. Due to the commonality of this issue, Microsoft extended the 1-year warrantee that these consoles came with to Three years from date of purchase.

On Nov 1, 2006 a plat was released. This patch, when applied, caused "bricking" in many systems. This led to a lawsuit being filed by and by that same month. This wasn't the first of lawsuits that had been filed against Microsoft concerning the Xbox 360's problems. Soon after the Xbox 360 first hit the markets the year before, a lawsuit had been filed.

The most recent class action lawsuit filed against Microsoft was in October of 2008 by Californian consumers. The filers claim that Microsoft wittingly manufactured defective consoles and that they refused to sledding the genuine failure rates of the consoles.

The industry will accept 3-5% failure ratings, but Microsoft has done little about their 50% rating. With it being more then 3 mature since the release of this console, it is surprising that it has been allowed to stay so high. Bring back the stability that consumers could expect with the previous gaming systems!
